Take your vows to heart

When we get married, it’s ‘for better or worse, richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, til death do us part’. These are the vows we take and when things go astray we often forget that we agreed to these things. Connie shares this story of a marriage that was far from what the wife imagined and when fate steps in and takes control of the situation, the wife is forced to see life for what it is. When she meets a woman named Destiny, she is then put in a situation to remember the vows she took and realizes that life and marriage is not at all what she thought it to be. She then changes the course of her direction and begins to live honoring her vows and being at one with her husband. The road she now walks leads her to the happily ever after she was hoping to have from the beginning.
If you need some encouragement or just a small reminder of what marriage is then this book will encourage you to go on and finish what you started. It’s the small things in life and love that counts.

The steps to a happy marriage.

What a wonderful, informative and insightful book this is. It is definitely a must read for anyone who is seriously dating, engaged or newly married. The author brings us through the early days of meeting her spouse, dating him and eventually marrying him. She quickly discovered, as most newly married people do, that the idea of marriage far differs from the reality of it. It's not all wine and roses. It is, in fact, a lot of hard work, and sometimes a lot of frustration and tears. Reading this book will teach one how to truly appreciate all of the hard work and trials that go hand in hand with marriage. I've been married myself for several years, and can fully attest to the amount of work marriage really is. Reading this book has changed the way I will look at my husband going forward, and I hope it will do the same for anyone reading it. Marriage is absolutely worth the work needed to make it successful. The rewards of a happy marriage far outweigh the work involved to get there.

Just a bump in the road!

This really was a great book. So many people rush into marriage and the idea of love but forget that marriage is a lot of work. It isn't easy and there are always bumps in the road. The greatest part of the journey is learning to get through them. I love that the author gives a background story of her marriage, problems and how they were able to overcome them. This book gives great ideas to help anyone that is going through a rough patch in their relationship. My husband and I both went into our marriage knowing that we both have to work hard at it. Even though we knew this, we got stuck in the day to day life of work and the kids and suddenly became too busy to work on our own marriage. This book was very motivational and will help us get through this small bump in our long road of a happy marriage.
