About the Author
Ken Collier is associate professor at Stephen F. Austin State University and holds a PhD from the University of Texas at Austin. He has is the author of Between the Branches: The White House Office of Legislative Affairs and is currently conducting research on presidential speechwriting. He has published articles in such journals as White House Studies, Presidential Studies Quarterly, Public Choice, and Social Science Quarterly. Steven Galatas is associate professor at Stephen F. Austin State University and holds a PhD from University of Missouri. He has published articles in Journal of Politics, Public Choice, Party Politics, PS: Politics and Political Science, and Politics and Policy. His research and teaching concerns comparative elections, voting behavior, and campaign finance. Julie Harrelson-Stephens is an associate professor at Stephen F. Austin State University, with a PhD from the University of North Texas. She has co-edited, with Rhonda L. Callaway, Exploring International Human Rights: Essential Readings and has been published in Conflict and Terrorism, PS: Political Science and Politics, Human Rights Review, and International Interactions. Great for minutia of the standard, terrible interview questions

Can we inherit Struct? No.

But then who would want to? This is an example of the dozens of questions that do more to demonstrate esoteric knowledge of the C# standard, rather than practical and necessary C# and OOP knowledge.

It would be a travesty if most of these questions were ever used to screen job candidates who would otherwise be very productive and talented developers.

It is great content but misses it's objective by a wide margin and does a great disservice.

As an example of a great book to prepare for an interview "SQL Server Interview Questions and Answers" hits the target dead center. 100% relevant content and exactly the type of questions that should be asked and answered.

I almost never write reviews. This one made me so angry I wanted to warn others off of it.

I'm working off my buttons.

But I'm also giving them away.

The more I fall for Crow, the more I want him to do the things that I want. Dinners, dates, and evenings at the beach.

Everything comes at a price, and quickly the hoard of buttons I worked hard to earn are depleted.

Will this go back and forth forever? Or will someone run out of their buttons first?

I wanted to review this series with the last one, but I just had to write something. I love Crowe and Pearl without a doubt my top 5 fave characters of all time!

The chaotic and graphic scenes are far more worse than that of Fifty Shades, having said that I'm waiting on a movie! I love the sex trafficking theme though because I don't think that people give that enough attention as it should!

I can't wait for the next book to come out! I've preordered mine because I'm ready for the next book!

I would recommend this book to anyone that love chaos and falling in love!

OHHHHH I loved it! The story is just getting better and better......So In this second book Pearl and Crow grow closer. He is still in denial and she is falling hard. Cane really screws up and Crow has a hard time forgiving him. As the situation with Bones grows more serious, Cane and Crow come up with a plan to take him out. As Pearl is rejected she withdraws and doesn't think she will come back from this. Can she find peace? Can she find a way out? You really need to read this book. The characters have such depth. The story and characters have a deep darkness to them. I could not put the book down. The story keeps you captivated page by page. It turns out nothing like what you think will happen and it keeps you guessing and wanting more. Can't wait for Buttons and Pain........impatiently waiting. :)

I love this story. Pearl is such a strong woman. I love reading about women who are strong and capable of taking care of themselves. Sure, we all want a man in our life, someone to love and love us back. We also love being taken care of, bit we are not all whiney basket cases who fall apart and break so easily as portrayed in a lot of books. Pearl is fiesty, independent and a little bit submissive and dominant. I love that, because it is true of most women, who says we have to choose. I hate that most books imply that women are all submissive. What I hate even more is that men seem to think they can make any woman submissive. I love the growing, changing relationship between Pearl and Crow . I love the ending, it was spectacular and epic. I can't wait for the third and final book. But in my mind, I have many questions. How will she be able to support herself without her drivers license, money or credit cards or passport. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Hamlet: Shakespeare Made Easy

This is an excellent book. One side has the words Shakespeare wrote while the other side has the modern English version. It helps you understand what Shakespeare was saying. The downside is that it's one interpretation. Sometimes Shakespeare's subtlety is lost in the modern version. There is a good set of questions at the end of the book to help the students think about the play.

Celebrated as a courtesan and poet, and as a woman of great intelligence and wit, Tullia d'Aragona (1510–56) entered the debate about the morality of love that engaged the best and most famous male intellects of sixteenth-century Italy. First published in Venice in 1547, but never before published in English, Dialogue on the Infinity of Love casts a woman rather than a man as the main disputant on the ethics of love.

Sexually liberated and financially independent, Tullia d'Aragona dared to argue that the only moral form of love between woman and man is one that recognizes both the sensual and the spiritual needs of humankind. Declaring sexual drives to be fundamentally irrepressible and blameless, she challenged the Platonic and religious orthodoxy of her time, which condemned all forms of sensual experience, denied the rationality of women, and relegated femininity to the realm of physicality and sin. Human beings, she argued, consist of body and soul, sense and intellect, and honorable love must be based on this real nature.

By exposing the intrinsic misogyny of prevailing theories of love, Aragona vindicates all women, proposing a morality of love that restores them to intellectual and sexual parity with men. Through Aragona's sharp reasoning, her sense of irony and humor, and her renowned linguistic skill, a rare picture unfolds of an intelligent and thoughtful woman fighting sixteenth-century stereotypes of women and sexuality.

As part of a series on important women writers in the period 1300-1700, this booklet provides the first English translation of an important Renaissance dialog on the nature of human love. D'Aragona (1510-56), a wealthy courtesan and poet, daughter of a Roman courtesan and (probably) Cardinal Luigi d'Aragona, argues that human sexual drives are irrepressible and that a moral form of love must recognize both its sensual and spiritual aspects; here she challenges Catholic teaching and the prevailing Platonic philosophy of her day. Russell (European languages, Queens Coll.) and Merry (modern languages, John Cook Univ., Australia) have produced a lucid and lively translation; the useful introduction gives an analysis of the dialog. The introduction is the thing

The introduction to this volume, from the Other Voice series out of the University of Chicago Press, by Rinaldina Russell is exceptionally good. It is helpful in tracing the path of Tullia d'Aragona's education that took her to the understanding that allowed for the writing of this tract, and it is a tract, a philosophical tract, argued in the most proper dialogic method with Tullia as the antagonist.

The argument is stated: "Is there love within limits?" While this argument deals with the subject, love, it is not really about love. Varchi, the protagonist of this argument, maunders around in his "questio" dialogic method, in a manner that I kept thinking of as Renaissance scholasticism, with the incessant splitting of hairs, carping about the meanings and comparative meanings of words used in the dialogue.

Footnotes in the book were a must and were handled well, giving the reader all she needed to prevent confusion in the narrative and giving edification and reminders of the philosophical questions implied and their premises. The purpose is not to solve the question, or come to an answer, but to investigate, peruse, belabor, and fragment in the best dialogic manner. This disassembly accomplished, the true cleverness in the arguments comes in one-up-manship, catching the other out in misspeaking, and revealing the true nature of love, which is its difficulty.

A great resource

I think it is important to highlight that this is a set of workbooks, and not textbooks, although the information taught is summarised at the start of each chapter, and easy to refer back to, with a useful double-page chart on Ism properties.

It is also worth noting that they are a complement, and not a substitute, to the online Bayyinah course. Some of the exercises are directly related to what is said on the respective video lesson.

They are a very thorough way of consolidating the learning and the questions have a variety of formats. The initial lesson exercises are a bit too easy but it quickly gets more challenging, particularly when you have to write the Arabic words yourself. I haven't been able to find the answers to the exercises anywhere though (perhaps I'm missing something?) Working through the book I was able to identify gaps in knowledge that wouldn't be picked by passively watching a video lesson.

I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the paper but considering it's a workbook that will be written on, rather than a reference book, I found that this did not matter.

The lessons themselves are clearly very thought-through, and the method is designed to build gradually but consistently on the knowledge from the previous lesson.

In summary, a great resource to apply the learning from the Arabic with Husna course, which gives the feeling of being taken by the hand and guided step by step through Quranic Arabic grammar.

Your programs are awesome. Because of Bayinnah.TV's 10 Day Quranic Reading Challenge, I am reading and memorizing Quran with real progress for the first time in 20 years. May Allah reward you and forgive your mistakes. May Allah make us all of those people. I am now about to the point where I am reading Arabic well enough that I can dig into Arabic with Husna. The two older kids are going to be taking it too! Will give an update on our progress after a few months! Ism Fil Harf ;)

Great effort, may Allah reward all involved. One important thing for buyers to know (which i didn't) is that these books only cover the initial units of AWH and don't include the more advanced grammar. Since I've completed the AWH courses already, i was hoping these books would provide a nice resource for review for all concepts. However these books are helpful only for the basic concepts and not the more advanced stuff covered in Unit 8 and onwards.
