Great technical manual for matchmoving

The product description was a little vague about which matchmove programs are discussed and used as illustrations. If you are new to matchmoving or thinking about it, you have probably done some checking around on the software products that are out there. Rest assured that SynthEyes (a more popular program) is discussed and used in many illustrations. Other programs are discussed as well. This book is not easy reading. It is a serious technical book that explains how these programs work and why they fail and how to fix or avoid matchmove failures.

Try to take this with patience

Match moving is the keystone to create the best illusions in moving picture, and it is almost not recognized outside the VFX community. This book is not for the enthusiast, is for the PRO. And no matter how many books you read, the only way to master match moving is doing actual matching with real world footage.
