Instead buy "Guide to the NATE/ICE Exams" by Robert Featherstone
By JGD
Great deal of information that is either superfluously out of date ("freon" data, ex: Tables 6.1, 6.2, 12.1) or written in such detail that the book is more for engineers than technicians. Line drawings and black-and-white photographs look like they came out of on old set of outdated Audel's.
A better resource for studying is the "Guide to the NATE/ICE Exams" by Robert Featherstone...more than 2,500 review questions! Purchased both books together and haven't been disappointed with the second one bit.
