Why is that book out of print? It's great.

I had lost many earlier editions of Luscher's famous book and was glad to get this used copy. My wife and I have used it for 35 years before we met and got married. It is well-known in Europe and practically unknown in America. Reminds me of "The Adventures of TinTin" by Herg�, a series of books that have had a similar fate. Speilberg attempted to correct that with his recent movie. Luscher needs a little promotion too, which is why I am writing this review. His classic self-help book is rich with stats-derived data on how colors reflect our degrees of stress and attemps to point out the sources of this stress with a remarkable degree of accuracy. This 5-minute test with 8 color cards (supplied within) cuts the chase to your state of mind by revealing the problems, the motivational factors, the energies in reserve and the stuff you run away from. Do it once and you are addicted to the process for life. I read that this simple test is used in employment offices, doctors clinic and other places in Europe. The appendix references hundreds of papers and science referring to the work of Luscher. I would like to hear from other Americans who have used it.

Book useless with 8 color tabs

I already had a copy of this book from about 20 years ago. Therefore was ordering a new copy, that is how I know the 8 color tabs are missing.
Otherwise, this is a good tool and a serious one. NOT a parlor game, in fact should allow people to read their result by themselves. It is going
to tell you were you are at this moment= this year? It may reveal vulnerable things. It is not about mood, or personality . It will point out if you
are a type A personality and maybe headed for a heart attack. . In that sense it is about personality and physical components. I don't know if it is
still in use in medicine or not. good for Dr.'s doing therapy, Interior Designers to understand their clients but only to back up your instincts.
I taught color theory to art students and wasn't for what I had in mind but found it interesting for myself.
I am looking for a refund on my copy w/ out color tabs (2"X1 1/2") BUT there is nothing wrong with content of book

Very Interesting Concept

I just came across this book and decided to try it out. I don't know if it accurately sums up my psychological state - as if I knew that answer - why would I need the test to tell me? As it is written under the presumption that we would need to be told how we are feeling, it is hard to objectively measure it's accuracy. The one thing that astounded me however, was the amazing amount of correlation in the results. After choosing 2 sequences of 8 color cards, you are given various parings to look up for interpretation - 10 in all. The interpretations of all ten of my combinations basically said the same thing, often verbatim. Of course, I was skeptical and had to look up the other interpretations to make sure that they weren't all identical - they weren't. It's still hard to say what value if any the test has, but my results were at the very least an interesting coincidence. I give this book four stars - 3 for being interesting, 1 for it's possibility of accuracy, but I'm holding out on the last star, as like most psychology and self-help books, I found it to be too vague to be more than an interesting diversion.
